Profiles in Poverty: A Study of Five Poor Working Women

Abstract

The focus of my five profiles is on the lives and problems of five poor-working women living on the outskirts of the city of Trivandrum, the capital of the State of Kerala. Both Kerala and the problems of the poor as such are already much researched. What is different about my profiles is that they deal' with, I believe, the poorest of the poor, namely the poor working women.
