Impact of the Occupational Structure on the Status and Roles of Women

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to study the roles and the status of working women in Kerala, given their occupational structure. The study is based on three case studies done during the year 1576-77 in districts of Trivandrum. These are based on the lives of women who are working in the various important occupational categories found in Kerala general and Trivandrum in particular.
