Image and Image Makers: Some Insights from Work with Working Women

Abstract

I have divided the paper into three parts. In the first section, I draw upon my field experience t o make a few general observation about the conduct of field work in order for it to be rewarding. In the second section of the paper, I highlight what appears to me important concerns of the working woman in low income occupations. In the third section, I have attempted to give my understanding of the working women's own perceptions on the basis of my observation of the lives of the women I have been studying. I am up this paper with a few concluding observations of general nature.
