The vision of the Directorate is that all women in Karnataka to become economically, socially, and politically empowered, contributing as equal partners and all children in the State to be provided with the care and protection that is required for a safe and healthy childhood, thereby laying the foundation for holistic development.
The Women & Child Development Department, Kerala functions for ensuring the holistic, physical, psychological, cognitive and emotional developments of women and children and a gender sensitive family, community, programme and policy for the development and protection of women and children.
The department is taking various initiatives and programmes for Child Development (ICDS), Child Protection(ICPS), Women Protection and Women Empowerment . Some of the flagshp programmes are highlighted
The Department of Women and Child Development, Lakshadweep Administration, came into existence as a separate Department with effect from 15th June, 2007; earlier since 1987 it was a Department under the Department of Social Justice Empowerment and Culture, Lakshadweep Administration.
The Lakshadweep Administration was constituted with the prime intention of Promoting social and economic empowerment of women, Ensuring development, care and protection of children and spreading awareness about their right, facilitating access to learning, nutrition, institutional and legislative support for enabling them to grow and develop to their full potential and create gender equitable and child-centered legislation, policies and programs.

The main objectives of the Department are to focus on promoting the survival, protection, development, welfare and participation of women and children in a holistic manner. The department is responsible for policy making, formulation of programmes /schemes, implementation of development programmes, and co-ordination of efforts of both governmental and non-governmental organizations working in the field of Women and Child Development.
Maharashtra is the second most populous state with around 11.2 crores citizens residing in the state.
Department of Social Welfare, Govt. of Manipur implemented many schemes for the welfare and up liftmen of Women of Manipur specially destitute, divorced, widows etc. Some of the schemes currently implemented are as follows:

Social Welfare Department caters to the special needs of marginalized groups. It aims at bringing Social and Economic Development to Women, Children, Persons with Disabilities and Juveniles in the State. The Department has been able to formulate programmes for the welfare and development of Women and Children and network with NGO's. We have undertaken a large number of major initiatives in the Social Welfare Sector.
Such achievements are vocational training programmes, rehabilitation services for Persons with Disabilities, innovative programmes, supplementary nutrition for children and mothers, the establishment of Child Care Institutions, training for Empowerment of Women, Establishment of One Stop Centres for Women and Women Helpline ‘181’, Shelter Home for Women, Setting Up of Elder Helpline. Besides, continuing existing schemes for children, women, and Persons with Disabilities in the State, it is necessary to give more emphasis on the preventive and rehabilitation measures in social issues like drug addiction, juvenile delinquency, child labour, commercial sex workers and empowering women.
Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (BMP) is a voluntary based non-government, mass women’s organization committed to achieve women’s human rights, women’s empowerment, and gender equality. BMP started its journey in 1970 with the initiative of poet Sufia Kamal, a legendary figure in the struggle of women’s emancipation and freedom of all men and women in the society and state.
The Mission of the Parishad is to establish substantive equality between women and men by facilitating changes in long nurtured patriarchal social norms, customs, rules and practices that discriminate women and girls.
Bangladesh Mohila Samity is a voluntary development organization, which has been working for the welfare of women since the very birth of Bangladesh.
Amongst several objectives of BMS, the primary objective was the materialization of a pledge of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, to empower women. No nation can progress or achieve inclusive development while ignoring any segment of its population. Hence, fostering economic independence of women and providing them with various forms of counselling and support services has been the mission of BMS since its inception.
The implementation of Vision 2021, the government of Prime Minister has taken various initiatives for the development of women and children. A large part of the population are women and children. Prerequisite for the development of the national development. Overall rights of women and children, empowerment and overall development is a key milestone in the implementation of government programs for incriminating. In light of the election manifesto of Women and Children Affairs Ministry has taken various measures to alleviate women's poverty.
Empower women, stop violence against women, trafficking of women, the protection of women in the workplace and women in the mainstream of socio-economic activity to ensure the full and equal participation of women in the overall socio-economic development with the main goal is to ensure. Women to increase efficiency by providing comprehensive training, employment, labor market participation confirmation, through small and medium entrepreneurs to patronize the extensive activities being conducted to ensure the economic empowerment.
State Ministry of Women and Child Development, Pre-School & Primary Education, School Infrastructure & Education Services was established as per the Gazette Extraordinary No: 2187/27 of 9th of August 2020. Sri Lanka Women’s Bureau, National Committee on Women, Department of Probation & Child Services, National Child Protection Authority, National Secretariat for Early Childhood Development & Sri Lanka Thriposha Ltd and all the divisions functions under Primary Education, School infrastructure are the Departments and an education services statutory institutions under the Ministry.
The Ministry has been assigned 14 to priorities. They include ensuring the security of women, providing relief to rural women. Victimized by unregulated microfinance schemes, Empowering women with knowledge and skills to enjoy a successful life, Saving children from being violating all forms of results and exposing to abuse, providing and monitoring methodologies that ensure their well being, creating a child friendly school environment and ensuring education for all minimizing irregularities.
