Women’s social security and protection in India

Abstract

The main objective of the Conference was to identify and unpack various perspectives on the issue of social security for women in India by bringing together a diverse range of participants from the Government, trade unions, women’s organisations and UN agencies on a common platform. The conference was thus the first step towards ensuring that the women's voices are heard and their real-life situations understood when challenges relating to their social security and protection are being addressed.
