Abstract
The study covering the states of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan to highlight the implications of aggressive growth-centric development on women’s livelihood sources which are being taken away or are expected to be taken in the near future by the government to accommodate new ventures of the corporate sector. The study also examined the increasing vulnerability of women in the wake of the ‘new opportunities’ that have arisen as a result of aggressive investment.
