Status of Dalit Women in India

Abstract

In all states across the globe, there are communities which continue to be marginalised and deprived of their rights due to their location within the society determined by class, race, ethnicity, gender and skin colour. In India, caste determines one’s social status and Dalit or untouchables remain as one of the most oppressed and exploited community in the country.
