A Research Study on the Nature, Incidence, Extent and Impact of Sexual Harassment of Women at Work Place in the State of Maharashtra.

Abstract

The present study discusses the backdrop of the increasing number of reports relating to the cases of sexual harassment of women in government and private offices and in other establishments and institutions in Maharashtra. The report examines the psychological and physical effects of sexual harassment on the personal and family life of the victims. Traces the reasons for which the sexually harassed women continue to work in hostile work environment with abusive relationship. The study also suggests the measures to prevent, control and minimize the incidence of sexual harassment at work place.
