A Report on Conference of Partner NGOS: Implementation of Policies, Schemes and Programmes and Women and Children: Challenges and Way Forward.

Abstract

The objective of the conference was to provide partner NGOs an opportunity to share their experiences and insights and to deliberate upon the various challenges confronted at the grassroot level for the implementation of various schemes oriented towards bringing welfare to the women and children. The vision of the Ministry is to have empowered women living with dignity in an environment free from violence and discrimination and well-nurtured children with full opportunities for growth and development in a safe and protective environment. Therefore, as a nodal agency of the Govt. of India, the Ministry formulates various policies and schemes that promote the empowerment of women and ensure the safety and security of both children and women.
