Abstract
Agriculture is the largest employer and it provides employment to both Men and Women but the ratio of their employment in the sector is not significantly different. This difference gives rise to gender inequalities in the sector. In many parts of the world, the women are the majority of labour in the Agriculture sector. The gender inequality in the Agriculture sector is not a small issue. The gender inequalities exists in the form of very few land rights held by women, difficulty in accessing the resources such as raw materials, finance, machinery, etc.; non-payment or low payment of work, insecurity in employment and lack of decision making power.
