On 12th December 2019, Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 was signed into law, leading to widespread protests across the country.

Despite its many advantages, the employment of women in economic activity in India has been associated with increased mortality for infants and young children. Simultaneously, narrower gender differentials in child mortality among employed women have been noted.

THERE is enough evidence to show that often, development policies adopted by governments have widened the disparities amongst sections of people.
