Abstract
Reproductive health services thus imply the enabling of individuals, both males and females, to decide freely and responsibly, the number, spacing and timing of their children. For this they must have the information and the means to attain the highest standard of sexual and reproductive health. Reproductive care, therefore, includes family planning (FP) counselling, contraceptive information and services; safe delivery and post-natal care; infant, and women's health care; abortion; treatment of reproductive tract infections (RTIs) and sexually
transmitted diseases (STDs); and counselling on human sexuality, reproductive health and responsible parenthood.
