Abstract
A decade ago, issues of reproductive health and sexuality were considered either irrelevant or a divisive by important sectors of the women’s movement in many countries. Today these issues have galvanized the energies of a rapidly growing women's health movement that has become an active and respected player in
policy-making at the international level. In countries as varied as Brazil and India, Nigeria and the Philippines, the same is true at the national level.
